This is matter of personal choice. It depends entirely on what you enjoy seeing and doing at a holiday destination and what you expect from the holiday. there are innumerable choices, but you need to figure out your ideal holiday based on the place, activities it has to offer and most importantly your budget for the spending.
Although this is purely personal preferance ut my reccomendation is that for
1. Natural beauty and greenery with ayurveda and martial art kalari and kathakali stands at the first place. You can enjoy stay in backwaters in the boat houses, enjoy beaches, waterfalls, tree top stays, adventure treks, wildlife sanctuaries, bird sanctuaries, elephant kraal, tea estates, spice plantations, and much more. Kerala is like nature's gift to mankind. Lots of greenery and nature and all kinds of terrain. Further you can enjoy great ayurvedic massage and treatments - rejuvenating and life filling experience. It depends upon your budget and places you have not visited so far. In India better visit the South Bangalore, Mysore, Otty, Kerala cCape and interior TN and board your train from Chennai.
