Thank God it was Sunday and was able to see the whole day's play. And I was reminded of a day in two thousand one at the Eden Gardens Kolkata, when runs were plundred aplenty by Dravid and Laxman and not a single wicket fell. That historic match is one of best tests ever which I have witnessed in my life.
After the early fall of Sehwag's wicket to a beautiful delivery, the dedication and application that both Vijay showed was quite extraordinary against some very good and disciplined bowling by Siddle, Pattinson and Henriques. Only Forty nine runs were scored in the first session, but for me that was the key and the most important session as they ensured no further wicket fell and saw off both the new ball and their key bowlers. A pleasant feeling to see the Indian batsmen dominating the Kangaroos , both scoring an unbeaten century and an unbeaten partnership having a potential to beat the 35 yr old record held by sunny and colonel. Overall very good going for the Indian Team
