I feel the entire stretch from Chennai to Bangalore will become a Manufacturing and Industrial Corridor if the infrastructure and highway proposal go well. Once these get operational TN becoming a Taiwan would become reality. It would be more broad based growth if the same industrialization spreads to parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka as well along the same stretches which will make this a buzzling corridor.
But the infrastructure should be large enough to support developments. For instance highways and expressways should start ASAP on similar lines to what is done in Mumbai-Pune stretch....this is absolutely essential otherwise transportation, logistics, raw material procurement, distribution, etc will get hampered. Similarly there should be large lanes so as to accomodate truck and trailer traffice in addition to passenger and other traffic.
