I will try to analyse why he felt like defending me.
If the reason is reasonable then my liking for him / her will be restored with honour.

who knows it might a reason to show you that s/he was good but you didnt recognize that

First , i would compare the reasons behind my disliking and the reason for his/her defense, then only i might answer ..whether..i would start liking him/her or not ..!
