Q.
You are battered and robbed by a young man and he warns you that you cannot do anything against him because he is a juvenile.
Would such an experience make you start thinking that children should be dealt with and punished in the same manner as adults are?

If a person is juvenile then it would be difficult for a person to batter an adult human being unless he has a weapon. Now with the help of that weapon like say a hockey stick, knife, cycle chain he can inflict a lot of pain on you but for that also he will have to be minimum fourteen years to overcome an adult.
Coming to the second part of your question, the answer is No even after such an experience I would not want that child should be punished like an adult and I am sure the percentage of juvenile crimes in India is still less than many other countries. And by giving that misguided child the punishment like an adult will only be increasing the chances of his losing faith in the society and system and by living in jail he will become a hardcore criminal. Reform for any criminal including a child is always better and effective deterrant than harsh penalty

Well, i don't think that a juvenile will be stronger than me or any adult to rob him or her. if you are asking about any other crime like forging then they should not be punished. but in sex crimes NOBODY should be forgiven.
