Isnt that the law of nature...the law of the animal world..
of which we humans are a part of too...
the necessity of procreation and happening since the primitive age...
so many wars have been fought over women...
and its a male weakness blessed by our creator too... possibly...
earlier women were taken as slaves and sold off to the highest bidder...
now our society has changed the rules and men ask for dowry...
that is the only change....in a world which boasts of mental emancipation !

Itz the rule of the nature....

when there was no society, no family, during the neolithic age and paleolithic age, and human being was living in caves and ravines at that time also males were fighting among themselves to win a female....so no one could stop males from chasing females as itz a law of nature....but situation changed man become civilized hence this qsn is asked....
