No, it shud be confined to longer rigorous punishment or chemical castration at the most..
The fear of death penalty in the aggressors can result in more no.of murders after rape. Death of the victim can render investigation more difficult.

I hv expressed my view on this earlier. If the background of rappe is, the culprit is habitual rappist or psychopath and going to be threat to society in future also then the death penalty makes sense to me.

For actual rape, gang rape and child rape, capital punishment is essential, but in other cases consideration is necessary for causing rape and allurement.
