It is very difficult to answer this question. no doubt S.A. chased and won the test match. but dear whether they are consistant enought to beat any body. i say no. Australia is the only team who were consistant barring India no one beat them in their court yard. and hence dear you cannot write them off again and again. to beat them, you should be atmost your best so that you can beat them. hence, for this every cricket playing nation should be consistant See India, ok no doubt, we are the best but touch your heart and say whether we are really consistant enought to be the best. even though India beat them twice and S.A. beat them in their courtyard, still they are number one and dear where we are standing. ok no doubt, we are number two and after sometimes, we may slip to number three or number four and hence consistancy is required and consistancy is there with Australia and hence even though S.A. or any other country are good chaser, they have to beat them consistantly to hold ...more

No, they are not still not a very consistent team as you have seen what is happening in the ongoing second test. If they win this match agasinst Australia then we can say it is India Vs SA for the top spot.
