No way mam. U are a Kannadiga, I am a Tamilian, and we both desi and desis LOVE cricket and we LOVE drama. So I am thinking why not change IPL into ICEL (Indian Cricket Entertainment League) just as how WWF (World Wrestling Federation) became WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment)?
So if there is match fixing, let's make it ICEL, make it legal, let's make the game like a tele serial , what more do Indians need more than cricket and drama in a package?!
COME ON MAM I KNOW U WILL LIKE THIS ......
I would arrange a game script like WWE :D Imagine if u have a Bengaluru ROYAL CHALLENGERS fast bowler who would be found in a hotel room with a Chennai Super Kings cheerleader and have that said in "IPL show" or whatever show they have called. Then u get the Chennai Super Kings players lose a match in Bengaluru Chinnasami stadium.
Then u say to CSK fans "first they take our water, now our cheerleader, what is this man!" and then in the rematch between CSK and Bengaluru Royal Challe ...more

No mam,
If controversy is the only reason, then I will not agree..
because whatever you name..every field has controversies..
players who involve in this can be banned.
But BCCI and sports ministry must have a greater control over this to prevent such things in future
