How can this happen when the government has fixed minimum wages! If this is true, it means all in the administration as well as politicians are hand in glove. Here comes the role of social activists and NGOs who are working for the upliftment of the deprived people. If this comes to the notice of some kind hearted judge, it can be takes up as public interest case and things can be set right.
You have already made some contribution by asking this question. Write letters to the editors of newspapers. Let more people know about it. Looks like the MPs.MLAs have closed their eyes and are least bothered about the suffering of the people there. It is unfortunate but true that these same people are most likely to vote and elect the sitting MPs and MLAs when they contest the next elections.

Every person works for salary or wages, from that they pay tax, they provide for their and family, lodging and feeding expenses, than clothes expenses, travelling expenses, etc and finally little bit goes in savings. But our government guys besides their salaries, they get most allowances for eating, lodging, travelling, and hence maximum goes for savings. I feel all these freebies should be cut off. They should spend their salary amount for all these things. Like common man.
