Q.

Some perceive anything western as bad culture which is harming our traditional values. Talibans also feel the same way.
Starting from our educational system, management style, system of parliamentary democracy, legal system, dress code, household furnishing, ceramic wares, music, movies, civic management, many of our food habits etc and many more, are all copied from west. Does the fundamentalists want India to give up all such items borrowed from west?

I believe that we are westernised but not modern, we need to be modern and educated and take only those things from our culture and the west which are progressive and take us forward, we must not take things that are negative in either culture

Tovarish, you are talking about the RIGHT WING. These specimen are genetic mistakes. The right wing doesn't care whether you wear langot or jockeys, sarees or minis....but these clowns want to make themselves important by creating an issue out of thin air, and then posing to be its "problem solvers."

RESTRICTING an activity by painting an evil picture about it is MUCH MUCH easier than CREATING OPPORTUNITIES for the people. And the right wing thrives on this.

Indian parents and "elders" are also guilty of these attitudes. Whenever their sweet little angel gets impregnated in a navaratri party in Kullu Manali, it's always the charas or the bhang....and not poor upbringing which didn't equip the sweet angel to see thru predators.

The right wing has the SAME SAME attitudes ji.

What I find gut wrenchingly funny at the same time 500x hypocritical is these idiots instance of defending "Indian culture." Well, the ONLY INDEGENOUS CULTURE OF INDIA was the Aboriginal Dravidians & ...more

What will happen to India if Taliban captures Pakistan?

In my opinion Taliban has been friendly with Pakistan since long. Taliban and Pakistan are two sides of same coin. India has to make efforts for teaching both a lesson suitably with or without support of US or any other country. But prior to that Indians have to come to conclusion that Pakistan is real enemy and dialogue process will not solve the problem. India has been trying to bring about unity of hearts of two nations for last three decades and let them try some more decades. Then only strong will to fight against terror will precipitate and we will have at that time new and dynamic leader as incarnation of Lord Ram to kill and finish the entire Ravan brigade prospering in either Pakistan or Taliban or any other past of the world.

Calling any one who proposes to adopt policies suited to India as fundamentalist is really unfortunate.Equating them with Taliban is still horrible. The subject requires a cool thinking with an impartial mind set.British have very successfully imposed on India systems which have created passion for westernization and still worse making us believe that we were a backward nation and would have remained backward but for the very kind intervention by British to civilize us ? Mahatma Gandhi advocated prohibition, was it because he was a fundamentalist ? As a true Indian he supported models suited for our culture not necessarily the western models which have created so many problems across the world now . The problem of global warming is a gift to mother earth by these westerners only ,not because of Hindu fundamentalists .The only automation which has been so flawlessly introduced by the post independence politics is to brand any one having feelings for the nation as fundamentalist ,fascist ...more
