1. INDIA is supposed to categorize its 19 nuclear establishments into military and non-military ones.
2. The non-military ones will be subject to international safguards thru the IAEA and supplies for the same in terms of nuclear raw material and other accessories will allowed by a special bill to be passed by the US which has put an embargo on all nuclear supplies to India.
3. The deal involves the passing of the bill in the US as well as puts the onus on the US to get the nuclear suppliers group consisting of various countries that supply either the nuclear fuel or the heavy water or the cyclotrons or other accessories to make an India specific exception of supplying the requisites in spite of ALL its nuclear facilities not under international inspection.
3. The deal was initiated by the BJP, further negotiated and really made beneficial for India by the UPA govt.
