They will try to get this matter solved at the earliest through diplomacy but striking India is not a possibility.

This a bilateral issue and NATO has no jurisdiction to interfere. The culprits have to pay for the crime they have committed, under the Indian Law.

I think u hv asked this Q earlier.
Btw, why NATO has to interfere in such a petty issue when they hv their own head ache. Moreover mobilising the forces is not so much fvt. option in west since it hurts their vote bank. They take the war casualties more seriously than our politicians.

Cross training exercise, NATO service War Games, Virginia, USA, May two thousand and seven, thirty Royal Marines British vs sixty US Marines.

British casualties: three
US Casualties: twenty-six

Verdict: White wash victory for the British on Indian soil.

EDIT: Should probably also mention that the US Marines knew that forest and hill region because they were stationed there, we knew nothing, and they got to the high ground first - We still won.
