NDA will be losing only a state if they lost in Karnataka election because of bad Governance by BJP & in spite of it if they win, it will be a bigger loss at national level for UPA.

Yes. It will be a litmus test for UPA and the NDA.
Whoever wins in Karnataka, will have the edge in the 2014 General Elections.
