If rapport with US is the most prudent criteria of eligibility to become President of India, it is pathetic. Proud Indians will have to redefine prudence.

No. Narayan Murthy could do miracles only during the times favoring software industry. Ratan Tata in fact would be a better candidate, considering his turnaround skills across diversified fields that Tata group manages. As regards proximity with Obama, who knows, how long Obama would be there? It's qute possible that Ratan Tata has good rapport with Mitt Romeny.

His proximity to BO or USA may not matter much.But i thing he may be one of the candidates to be considered seriously.
