It is not a running race that India should be mightier than China. Instead, India should have such system that it is capable of guarding herself against any external threat. If China or any other country if they have more than they really require, that is their headache.

Not in the foreseeable future. China, even can take-on the States. If you happen to see China, India will look like Junk-yard. However, beyond a Point they won't allow aliens to go to interiors.
China is second Military power in the world, after the States. Their econmic policiy has been widely appreciated across the world, rather Singapore like dashing country is following their policy for fast and sustained econmic growth.
Unlike our Currency, their Yuan/RMB does not fluctuate against any hard Currency esp., the USD, Euro, etc.

Unless the communism/current govt regime fails in China...n democratic function happens...i don t think there is a chance...however India will do well placing itself strategically with USA and Russia..
