Will harsh punishment in Delhi gang-r*pe case act as a deterrent for crime against women?

You will not like the anwer, but the real answer is NO, even atter the day this incident happened and culprits arrested and till today 26 more cases have been reported, and two of those resulting in death, one in delhi and one in kolkatta

To an extent a stringent law and fast track courts should be a deterrent but the mind set of people have to change, only then crime against women can be stopped.
