Late Pramod Mahajan was indeed an effective politician but (with al due respects) a bit immature also. He made a wrong assesment that people are totally in love with BJP due to India shining sentiments. He insisted that the party can encash this by dissolving Lok Sabha before time and go for elections. Although Vajpayee did not agree with this, he had to bow down to the pressure of his excited partymen. As a result NDA lost the election and has not been able to come back to power ever since.
In comparision to pathetic spokepersons like Manish Tiwari of congress, Late Pramod Mahajan does seem to be brilliant but there many other good ones also
