Why wolves cannot be tamed, while dogs can gladly become man's best friend, even though the two share similar genes ?

Wolves as well as lions and tigers can be equally tamed like dogs. But it is not happening for various other reasons like prohibited by states etc.

Dogs' forefathers are Wolves only !! As the wolves did not get sufficient food in the jungle & at the time of their sickness & old age, they started taking the shelter of Human beings & we started the term Dogs !!
