One of the best ways to explore the culture, lifestyle and many other things about Lucknow is by attending the Lucknow Mahotsava. It is a festival which is celebrated in this city every year at the end of the winter season. Another famous thing about Lucknow is the traditional embroidery known as Chicken. This art of embroidery is famous through out India.

Adab, nafasat, tehzeeb aur zaban.
One Sardar Banta Singh from Punjab listining about the 'bhasha' of Lucknow went there to show that Punjabis are more cultureed than people of Avadh. Ater getting down at Chaarbagh he took an ekka for chowk, ask the ekka wala "Oai tera nam ki hai" politly the answer came " Khaksar ko Saukat Ali kehte hain , aur janab ka ismesariff ". Banta Singh could not under stood, but when told that he is asking his name. Banta Singh tried to be more humbel said "Khote they put nu Banta Singh kende hain". This is the diffrence in language.
