Teachers day is dedicated to our 2nd President of India, Saqvapalli Radhakrishnan who is a great educationist and a great scholars and one of the best teachers India ever produced. To mark his birthday, we celebrate Teachers day.

Dear Arti, have you never been to school? every school celebrates this day in India. and if your school do not celebrates this day than I appeal to all members on this forum to think what we are teaching to our children in schools. Is today not right day to think about education system in our country ?

Indian Teachers Day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a staunch believer of education and was one of the greatest scholars and teachers of all times, apart from being the President of India. As a tribute to this great teacher, his birthday is observed as Teachers Day in India.
