Infidelity means sexual infaithful or lack of religious faith , it is not punisable in IPC.

No it is not punishable. However, it can be ground for divorce, separation and alimony.

YES...it is. but as its a male dominated society it is often interpretated in a way suited to male community.that is why the term "adultry' is related only to female.

Personally I feel such things should not be punished at all..as it involves mutual consent even if its with money...but the people involved should have the guts to accept it
