It is said that political power comes through unaccounted black money & criminal background of politicians. Are the Indian laws so helpless, dumb & deaf not to plug such preliminary loopholes?

Yes, Indian laws can't stopped criminals to enter in politics. Just have a look on last 2-3 yrs. u will realise that even criminals can contest d elections. Abu salem, pappu kalani, arun gawali to name a few. Our govt. is so helpless that they even can't punish this goons, forget to stop them from standing in elections. After much effort, spending lot of money & energy, CBI extradicated Salem from portugal to India but wats the progress in this case? Nothing...Even media, instead of hightlighting this matter, happy in publishing news bout his galfriend Monika. Media has full knowledge about her whereabouts, but it hardly takes interest in progress of Salem's case. Politicians get crores of Rs. on d name of welfare of society, but d progress is only on papers...Even if d loads of criminals stopped entering in politics, half of our problems will be solved.

A real question is whether our laws are so much ineffective, deaf and dumb that corrupt politicians and administrators can survive , not only survive but lead a most respected and dignified life in our country ?

Basic point is who will bell the cat? Jab Har Dal par Ullu baithe hain , To anjame Gulishta kya hoga?

It is unfortunate reality of our country that most of the political leaders, administrators, police personnel, beaurocrats, officers, clerks peons and even social reformers, saints, mullahs, maulvis, pundits are of doubtful integrity. When all birds are of the same feather, who will try to cure the sick system and even if someone attempts to do so whether he will be able to survive under the mountain like pressure of corrupt bosses surrounding him and when crying sounds of protests are coming from all corners of the society, and all employees of the office in which he or she works.

The most disheartening fact for our country is that there is no respect for quality, hon ...more

Laws are applicable for those fearing laws. Unfortunately, humans have developed mechanism to resist the fear of law. When laws are made by those people who are not afraid of laws, any law is helpless. Lawmaker-law relation has bocome like god-creation relation. Creatures worship god, not otherwise.

Archiach laws, poor implementation and lack of accountability has been the bane of our judicial system..... Our politics is run by ppl who are power hungry and do not have any intention of improving the lot of the citizens..... and also our country has a huge illiterate and socially backward and unaware population who are swayed by few false promises.....and with these gullible ppl behind them....the politicians manipulate the law too to suit themselves...... and also the greed of ppl in the judicial system make them play into the hands of the politicians..... unless there is a collective will from the politicians as well as the ppl to improve the judicial system with strict accountability....we are doomed to suffer in their hands.
