It's shocking, but Indians dearly entertain a false concept of "Indian culture" ..
The so called Indian culture is actually a collection of all kinds of contradictory attitudes, mentality n lifestyles. It's not homogenous but heterogenous. No one follows Indian culture in all its forms (rituals, scriptural teachings, religious doctrines etc)..

Inbuilt in their notions of Indian culture are many contradictions n hypocrisy as well. ... We've a classic treatise called kama sutra, but we've ppl who suffer from"mental seizure" when it comes to see education in schools.....Hindus worship 'shiva lingam' , but are offended by skimpy dressed ladies in the media and streets. ... pre marital n extra marital sex are so called immoral, but prostituting oneself in the marriage market n marital rapes are condoned shamelessly.

The traditionalists may not follow all the norms of Indian culture, but when it comes to sex n female body, they're immediately reminded of the so called Indian cult ...more

What the actors, story writers, producers and directors etc. plus government (which permits such things) do not do in public - should not be allowed on any screen or print..... If it is OK for the FAKE couples or lovers on screen to kiss, hug and go semi nude or nude with their vulgar dances and intimate scenes then it ought to be allowed in open public as well.....

If REAL couples and lovers are hauled by the law and criticized by the "saintly" society for being too cozy or for indecent behaviour as they call it - then such coziness and indecent behaviour which is watched by millions all over the globe should not be allowed either..... whether the story/script demands it or not.....

Nudity as part of art has been a part of art in India in the past. It was NOT against Indian culture.
It was westerners who brought this idea that nudity is evil. There are many temples all over India where sculptures depict artistic nudity including sexual acts. Mahaveera walked nude, so did thousands of his disciples! Nudity is our physical TRUTH. Why all this fuss over this?

Only blue film and triple XXX should be banned. Censorship is necessary on revealing and tight dresses.

Being democratic country we all have freedom of expression
Some take it to reveal because it sells
They are there to make money and not loose it.
Censor board is moderate and flexible which is also sign of a good democracy
We don't want Chinese or Saudi type censor board here.
