All partings are painful. This is because over a period of time, our association with people develop a sort of bond of relations whether it is in an office, factory, school or anywhere else and when somebody leaves the group, others feel the pain.
This applies to death as well which is the final parting in our life.
After 28 years in the research Institute of Goa, I was transferred to Dehradun and later to Pune and many persons who developed liking to the way I deal with people felt bad. I could see tears in their eyes when they came to embrace me on occasion of my farewell.
