Malala will go down in the history of Pakistan as a courageous girl who dared to oppose the Taliban who have no mercy for anybody opposing their dictats. She became world famous for her courage and drawing the ire of Taliban. It also showed how low Taliban can stoop to silence any person daring to oppose them.
They attacked her so instill fright among the people. They also want to show they won't have mercy for any person.
