Children have to face lot of changes in their career to come up in life. Life is not like how it was in olden days. To meet out every change, we have to struggle a lot like overtime, shifting places etc. By keeping our parents with us, we can not cope up with these changes. And we should not make them to suffer by staying with us. Nowadays very good posh old age homes have come up. they do better care than a job goer does to his parents.

It shows the apathy of children towards their old parents. There ought to be a legislation to protect Parent's rights. They should be paid the court ordered support.

IT is very easy for a bunch of old people to congregate and say how lonely they are because their children are not taking care of them but alas u reap what you sow- majority of the times anyway.

Many times in their young age, parents get obsessed with climbing the career ladder. YOung Moms start talking of "female liberation" And the "right to work" and all that fancy stuff. In the end of the day, the child is more or less treated as a well fed dog. Give xbox-360 if kid does everything Mom & Dad says or punish him if he doesn't do what Mom & Dad says....

Then w/ such setups it is only natural that the children too would follow the same example.
