The speed of light constitutes a universal speed limit. Einstein's theory of special relativity dictates that an object gains mass as it accelerates. The faster it goes, the more massive it becomes. The more massive it becomes, the more thrust or push it requires in order to maintain its speed. According to relativistic predictions, if an object with any mass were to achieve the speed of light, its mass would become infinite, which seems impossible in its own right.

Light is very fast..
It takes humans a lot of lightyears to get to the sun, but light only takes like 8 minutes.

But Scientists recently discovered something that can travel much faster than light. It's called Neutrinos. A lot of people doubt the first conducted experiment that it is indeed faster than light. But they did a second experiment and the results were same. Maybe light is not so superior anyways.
