Allah Almighty prohibits for His servants to eat swine. The Qu'ran says, "Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which hath been invoked a name other than that of Allah. (Al-Maidah: 3) So basically Muslims follow the commands of Allah which says no pork!

It depends on Allah's command what is permissible (halal) or what is not. If Allah says permissible for something, it becomes permissible, if He says that it is not permissible, it becomes unpermissible. That is to say, religion is an examination, it is an offer for people..
