1) Western countries including USA and Canada, Australia and New Zealand and even Japan do not profess that they are secular. However, their religion does not have any place in body politics. In other words, the society is more mature and it is not emotional. Rather, they believe more in science and economics and people s decision to elect a party to the power is based more on the credibility of the parties based on their past performance and the prospect of the future. To sum up, they always make sure that their action matches their words.
2) Try to compare the above with the Indian reality show of so called secularism. India professes to be what it is not. It is called hypocrisy. India preaches but it does not practice what it preaches.
3) So the world calls India a hypocrite ( A pseudo secular country). It is not just limited to the above. In fact this pseudo mentality extends to all aspects of life in India.

A real secular nation is one where religion and other community related theme doesn't play an issue in ACTIVE public life. I would say HOlland and Iceland are secular countries, tho the most secular 1s are indeed Communist countries.
