Inquisitive, Its said in Treta Yuga, During Ramayan age, people lived for many years. Supposedly more than 100 years or so. But, we need to realize, Time cycle changes with the passage of time and as a result everything changes. I cant comment on the NBC story. They might have given the news from a medical science perspective.

No one knows duration of Life . NBC may have meant average life expectancy is more

No rather regret as he said they will reach but he did not say we will be fit too till that age and lying in the bed all the time up to 100 years ,i dont think anybody will like it
