More than 130 street parties are taking place until Tuesday, as well as over 70 beacons being lit on Monday evening.
A party is being held around the big screen in Leicester city centre from midday.
Other events include picnics in parks and at museums and a film looking back at the monarch's 60-year reign which is on the 5th June 2012!!

To celebrate the 60 years reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second. Celebrations continue for 4 days including a floating pageant of 1000 vessels along the River Thames this afternoon and Concerts tomorrow and Services of Thanksgiving for her life.
