Yes of course, a lot depends upon their mental maturity but generally speaking we are attracted to very few people in life but can maintain friendships and working relationships with a great many more.

Possible, but not not for all people!
Long time ago (during my student time), I have been friends with a girl for years...
And even nowadays I am befriended with many of the opposite gender when I meet them in meditation programs in the kriya yoga ashram of Holland.
Anyhow it is easy to be platonic friends as long as you are not falling in love or attracted to some person. Once Cupido hits one of you in the heart then things become much more difficult!

If they dont see each other personally and come near each other ,then no problem,they can be good friends ,but as soon as they meet some where the lust of body comes and then it becomes difficult to control like " roop tera mastana " song
