Q.

Why is solar energy not being taken on the scale and seriousness as it perhaps should? Is it because corporates don't own the sun?

The use of solar energy is cathing on slowly gujarat has shown a way out. the only problem is that the initial costs are very high and the space required to instal the solar batteries etc is large, any way it WILL catch on. re part of your question, a simple relpy no individual or corporate of a government can OWN THE SUN. and in my opinion part II of the question is fully, absolutely irrelavent

Though expensive, But possible. It should be introduced as early as possible to meet the electricity demand. It is the duty of energy department to initiate. What ever amount will be needed, can be fullfilled by the RBI Governor. We have sufficient resources, and without any loss, can be introduced. Our leaders are responsible for it.

Yes its expensive and requires a large surface area for solar panels .....and they are smart enough to add the price in the gadgets they might sell ..even if they do not own the sun
