If the manufacturer of the set box will give money that you won't be able to spend in 100 years, will not be tempted to introduce any law? How will you earn if you do not patronize the industrialists, introduce new systems. You have to give some thing to somebody to get from.

To protect the CORRUPT PRACTICES of the cable operators.
They always SHOW the down-sized number of connections, to pay less to the principal distributer , and cheat everybody Distributors & The Government ) in the process.
