It is now dropped. Strongly opposing the United Progressive Alliance government's decision to introduce Foreign Direct Investment in the retail sector, West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee had remained adamant about moving a no-confidence motion against the ruling alliance, despite being isolated by the other Opposition parties over it. She even said on Wednesday that she had no hesitation in supporting a no-trust motion moved by her sworn enemies, the Left parties.

It was a very calculated move.
She knew her limitations in so far as the numbers.
She siply tested the motiff of BJP & CPIM.
Now, despite being the "issue" remaining the same,(FDI), all party opted to save CONGRESS and exposed themselves as the savior of the CONGRESS.
She will , now, call all of them as the A ,B,C, teams of CONGRESS, in the forthcoming PANCHYAT ELECTIONS.
