To me, it is because love isn't always what you expect. Sometimes love hurts, and sometimes love is a beautiful thing.
The person you love, doesn't always love you back. That is a good example of bitter sweet love, from an emotional aspect. The love that is unrequited, os bitter, it hurts you; but your love, is sweet, it makes you joyful, until you see the other person feels differently.
I think love is bitter sweet, because it has so many things that comes unexpected, and it has so many ups and downs.
Because you have to beware of your Relationship Entropy it becomes bitter sweet when the tendency of your relationship becomes more diffuse if not cared- for and nurtured, the tendency for once -close lovers to drift apart if one of you do not work at keeping the love you had. Bitter sweet comes into play when one or both of you think that by getting your own back on the one you love it feels good for the a while maybe you are trying to teach him a lession so you start doing things ...more
