The question presumes, I have enough money to buy an IPL Team. Granting, that for the ske of discussion, let me give my opinion.

I won't do it for the following reasons.
I want to have a trouble-free earning which is not possible for IPL buyer. The corporates have the infrastructure to take on the technicalities, but individual buyers have cannot pass the buck to others. He will have to manage it with his own recruited staff with him at the helm of affairs.
I don't have the expertise to make contrasting parties burying their hatchets to work for furthering my business interest. The required coordinating skill is not with me. I am a man of a very small world. IPL is probably the most complicated business process where almost all departments of Central Government and state governments are involved with host of consultants, service providers. Yes. If I get this much money i will definitely buy an IPL team. But my players would be from Streets od the country. I wont select any of them from famous cricket personalities...
