Q.

Recently a teenager committed suicide live on webcam while being encouraged by people online...and there have been similar online suicide cases earlier also... My Question is 1 Why does a person choose to have an audience if at all he wants to commit suicide....2. Has the world become so desentisized to suffering, depraved and sick that instead of reaching out and helping....many have actually egged, taunted him and dared him to do it.

Yes I heard about this on the news last night - it is so sick that people will sit and do nothing but watch. On line suicide seems to be a growing trend - perhaps it is their perverted way of getting 5 minutes of fame - same as those guys who go into schools and shoot down students before killing themselves. What is the world coming to. I recall a previous on line suicide whereby somone in the Chat room, or whatever it was, alerted the emergency services who located the person - but I think it was too late. Everywhere there are people with a warped mentality who find pleasure in the suffering of others whether it is humans, or dog fighting or a multitude of other "sick" spectator sports. Quite beyond my comprehension.

None of us believe someone can do that. we just egg him on to the point of calling off his bluff. but sometimes the unfortunate bloke just goes overboard.

If you have noticed , it's only the youth , the teenage youth who are the victim of such nonsense acts. They are A young Apollo, golden haired, dreaming on the verge of strife, Magnificently unprepared For the long littleness of life.... wish your little support to stand tall they are again the first victim of war the war of cultural change , war of humanity , just taking their steps in this selfish world ; the first fruit of peace , when they start following the great & wise people of the world .. It takes 20 long years or more of peace to make a man , to make him a real trustee to our nation ; but it takes only 20 seconds of war to destroy him through such meaningless inhuman acts of terrorism , injecting the virus of greed , anger & arrogance .In the central place of every heart of youth ,there is a recording chamber. So long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer and courage, so long are they young. When their heart is covered with the snows of pessimism and the ice of cyn ...more

"19-year-old Florida resident Abraham K. Biggs, who went by the screen names "CandyJunkie" and Mr Biggs, told users on a bodybuilding forum he would be committing suicide that night and invited them to watch the live video". Well this news created furore. During investigation a few users who read the blog told investigators they did not take him seriously because he had threatened suicide on the site before. Your first question is that: Why does a person choose to have an audience if at all he wants to commit suicide?. You have to give consideration to the point that Wendy Crane, medical/legal death investigator from Broward County Medical Examiner's Office, said Mr Biggs had died at his home from a toxic combination of opiates and benzodiazepine, a drug used to treat insomnia and depression. Hence the depression could have beenthe reason. Your question two: Has the world become so desentisized to suffering, depraved and sick that instead of reaching out and helping....many have act ...more

The only one answer is the humanity vanishes from the human beings. Due to heavy materiallistic desires and due to high ambition in life, people underestimating values, morales and humanity. So these kind of barbaric encouragement and foolish acts are obvious. Now net is the easiest medium for anyone. These people do not worth sympathy...the died one and who behind to provoke for it. Really its a barbaric world of materiallism. :(

Yes! Surely this the worst part of online publicity... There have been many cases where this kind of grave activity had been converted into a fun for serving it as a fresh dish to the reality loving hungry souls. The emotions are dead and we are back to the stone age!!! There are websites who pay a lot for promoting these and create a thrill out of somebody's life!!! A big shame... but it's going on...as the source is unknown..
