Yes it will help. whenever we read about it we will understand how conceited we were and how we did not pay adequate heed to development all around. We ignored sea travel, forgot that the defence of India from land sarts from passes In Afganistan, built fotress mentality, thought bulky elephants were good animals , where as agile cavalry was more beneficial. We will not shum violence as a means of defence, how many of us can lift a sword to save our lives today. We did the same mistake then. So History helps us top have a larger and balanced perspective and puts on correct perspective on International Affairs.
