Well to an extent it depects true picture may be if we take in to account abondoned women who are not formaly divorced then also the rate will not be too high.

How many Single Mom do you see in the cities you have stayed ?

After travelling to 17 different countries what I can say is that Family is still bedrock of social life over here.
Example in other countries holidy or weekend means going to some outing , hiking ,skeaing or club where as in india mostly an outing still means visitng friends and family.
Most of the people use their annual off from work to visit thier home towns which is very rare in USA for example.'
This is true to a large extent in Japan as well and thus you see low divorce rates in India and Japan.

Divorce takes a lot of time in india so the above figures are not a true reflection

Nope,, here its more becoz,, woman is financially dependent,, and cannot afford to divorce.. its just a prob
