Chakravarty Rajagopalachary (Rajaji), who was the first Indian Governor General suggested to implement a scheme called Family Education System, whereby the profession of a particular family would be included as a curriculum in their education. It was vehemently opposed by the then DK (Dravida Kazhagam) spearheaded by Periyar (Ramasamy Naicker), who accused Rajaji of denying proper education to all and trying to bring back the caste system. That was the end of it. India is still having the theoritical background of education only.
