Anything done for science is good. Always have a scientific temperament and have this aim in life to discover and invent, even if it costs money. Don't keep harping on poverty.. scientific inventions help alleviate poverty ...they don't add to it. ..

We need to stay in line with progress, particularly when we can proudly showcase our scientists who are far superior when compapred to global standards. It is time individuals do something for themselves rather than wait for the country to do something for them if one is worried about poverty that we see. I have had personal experience to vouch for what I call apathy.

Haven't done any cost analysis but surely the western world would be forced to change it's mindset against India which still thinks that India is a country of snake charmers !!

Not so useful. what new thing will they find out that has not been already been found by other missions to the moon. looks like everyone is moonstruck nowadays. they'll pick up a few pieces of rock! going all the way there to place our flag is a long, long journey and a very expensive one and to me it doesn't make sense, when that flag (meaning patriotism) seems to be heading downhill nowadays.

While this is not the ideal mega project for India given we have worst food security than Chad & Rwanda (fact, according to UN food sec. report), this project at least has scientific merit and is far superior to say- soliciting a single SEZ for 40,000 crores. Given the backdrop of economic re-colonization that has been happening in this land ever since 1991, this moon mission project at least is free from that.
