Why Fortune-telling is considered 'Shirk Akbar'?

It is big sin because we place faith on fortune telling and tellers rather than almighty allah. so it is haram and not acceptable. usually fortune telling or soothsaying ends with negative results only.sometimes due to conincidence it may look true , but it is actually not , but people wrongly trust that fortune teller has sensed fortune correctly and due to this they get cheated and spend milliuons for such dhongi babas. trust in almighty allah alone will make someone have positive results either here or in the life hereafter

Its an act forbidden in islam which means any acty of devoting to anything other than Allah
