Why do we need close friends?

We need them to share our feelings, our sorrows and happiness. We can live without close friends, but that will be like a broken kite

Friends are support pillars. They help us when we fall, tease us with random things, and bring joy and happiness in our lives.:)) really tough to imaginee our life without friends

For many things. First of all, if one starts finding the reasons/ rationality, one starts thinking in practical terms. When one starts taking practical considerations into account, it is difficult to accommodate emotional bondings, which may or may not be in line with rationality. A reason, might result in friendship, which we call - Marriage of Convenience.
