I am Neeraj from New Delhi.
I am in the process of applyting for a tatkaal passport. I am gathering all the required docs. for the same. I dont have any document from the following
(a) Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC); - To be issued, might take a long while (can't afford to wait)
(b) Service Identity Card issued by State/Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, local bodies or Public Limited Companies; - I work for an MNC company
(c) SC/ST/ OBC Certificates; - I belong to General category
(d) Freedom Fighter Identity Cards; - Out of scope
(e) Arms Licenses; - Out of sc

The guidelines under the tatkal scheme at the website http://www.passport.nic.in says, "The applicant also has the option to obtain a passport under Tatkal Scheme on submission of three documents from the Fourteen documents as mentioned below, provided one of the three documents is a photo identity document and atleast one of the three is amongst the documents indicated at (a) to (i) and a standard affidavit (Annexure I) on non-judicial stamp paper duly attested by a Notary:"
You need only three documents out of fourteen from the document listed as under:
(a) Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC);
(b) Service Identity Card issued by State/Central Government, Public Sector Undertakings, local bodies or Public Limited Companies;
(c) SC/ST/ OBC Certificates;

You need only three documents out of fourteen from the document listed as under:

If you have PAN card,Birth certificate,Driving license,bank passboo ,it will also work.One photo ID is must.
