Maybe they get the satisfaction out of that or it maybe that they never get the love and care they need so go out and seek revenge on others

It's people that have difficulty with themselves that they take it out on others. They are the ones with the problem and want you to be taken down with it. Just ignore them. Just know that you are better and worth it.
