Why do most women/men react when they are addressed as aunty/uncle????

Reason of reacting is that by getting addressed as uncle or aunty one gets remnded about the bitter truth that he or she has slided down from the prime age of theirs.

I do not react or object to young generation calling me uncle as I am 64. But when a person older than me or equal to my age call me uncle, I give him a good lecture.
