the answer to your question is a little imposing as from where and how i pwrcieve its answer. to tell you a mere statistical figure, lara , the magical trailblazer , has scored around 19 thrillers, when it comes to scoring over 150 runs in test match cricket. but what remains to be understood are the conditions and sorroundings in which these knocks were eclipsed. among some of his magical 19 knbocks of over 150 runs, lara's !53 still remains as one of the most inspriring innings ever scripted in test match cricket, especially coming from an almost habitual west indian routing in the days of 1999-2004, a period which many experts(in which i fervently include fans) would regard as the ultimate low point in the west indian history. windies were 1-0 down at home, against the might of steve waugh's dashing aussies in the wisden trophy, when at bridgetown, what Mark Waugh has described as"probably the finest i have ever seen from Lara", and the australians found hardest to swallow, the ...more
