Why couldnt our Indian actresses wear sarees at the party hosted for Oprah Winfrey when Oprah herself turned up in a saree? Are we shy of our own culture?

It is a matter of personal choice dont bring culture in this. and if u want to equate this with culture why did oprah go against her culture and wear an indian dress and not an american one
